About

In the summer of 2003, Cuyahoga Common Pleas Judge Nancy A. Fuerst brokered a settlement between the Cities of Cleveland, Cleveland Heights and East Cleveland, which led to the formation of the East Cleveland Township Cemetery Foundation, which was headed by Bill Garrison, who was also President of Lake View Cemetery, and straddles the same three municipalities associated with East Cleveland Township Cemetery.

Mission Statement

The mission of East Cleveland Township Cemetery Foundation is to provide education and patriotic events for the community pertaining to its historic heritage in an urban park setting that demonstrates the honor and respect due the early pioneer settlers of the Western Reserve.

Vision Statement

The East Cleveland Township Cemetery Foundation’s vision is to restore and maintain the East Cleveland Township Cemetery as a historic landmark that creates an urban park for the community to have the benefit of a place to relax, reflect, and discover the historical significance of the area and to build a solid financial foundation for its future.
